On Friday 14 August 2009 at the Hellenic C’ Army Corps/NDC-GR HQ, in the “PEDION AREOS” camp, the change of command
of the Headquarters took place.
The withdrawing Commander LtGen Panagiotis Giannopoulos, ceding the command of NATO Deployable Corps Greece Headquarters, thanked the military and civilian personnel for the entire help, the irreproachable cooperation and the efforts that they made during his command.
The new Commander, LtGen Konstantinos Theofanidis, thanked the withdrawing Commander for taking over the command of a high level of operational readiness, combat capabilities and significant international recognition Headquarters and promised that he will do his best to continue its successful way.
The Religious and Political Authorities of Thessaloniki as well as representatives of Military Authorities were presented at the change of command ceremony.
