The Spring 2009 Meeting of the Military Committee Terminology Conference (MCTC) was held in Thessaloniki ( Greece ) from 04 until 09 May 2009.
The MCTC is the Delegated Tasking Authority (DTA) of the NATO Military Committee for Terminology Activities and is responsible for the NATO Glossary of Terms and Definitions (AAP-6).
The MCTC meeting was held in the Conference Centre of the Makedonia Palace Hotel and it was chaired by the Office of NATO Terminology Coordination (ONTC). Delegates from Belgium , Bulgaria , Canada , the Czech Republic , Estonia , France , Germany , Greece , the Netherlands , Poland , Slovenia , United Kingdom , United States , as voting members, from Australia as an observer and from Allied Command Transformation (ACT) and Allied Command Operations (ACO) as advisors, participated in the Spring 2009 MCTC Meeting. The meeting was supported by ONTC secretariat and by two NATO Interpreters.
The NATO Deployable Corps Greece (NDC/GR) was the responsible body for the administrative support of the meeting. It is hereby worthwhile mentioning that three social events took place:
- A reception cocktail for the MCTC participants (held in the NDC/GR Officers Club - Monday, May 4th 2009),
- An official dinner (in Makedonia Palace roof garden - Thursday, May 7th 2009),
- A tour in the archaeological site of Vergina, followed by launch at Vermion waterfalls (Friday, May 8th 2009)
